Fine Handcrafted Locomotives
Dr. Andreas Scheibe heads up z-modellbau, a small German manufacturer specializing in the smallest of production Z scale locomotives.
Chassis, frameworks and transmission parts are made from CNC milled brass. The housing is made from brass and metal centrifugal cast, separately attached parts. Coupling is compatible with Marklin couplers.
The motors have a soft starting and brake behavior by a speed ratio of 88:1. Pantograph units are, by default , not operational so the engines can be powered from the rails. Pantograph operation is available upon request and must be set at factory.
